We have been engaged in women economic empowerment through; income generation, agriculture development and Value chain development interventions in the north of Afghanistan.
Job Purpose:
The master trainer provides advisory support to develop training materials to ensure whether overall development of curriculum and required materials have been conducted professionally and in a good quality and will deliver technical & vocational training to the expert trainees in order to elevate their capacity and proficiency in the field.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Revision and updating of prepared curricula and other teaching manuals in food processing profession.
  • Updating the list of technical tools and training materials for the food processing profession under supervision of the TVET expert.
  • Deliver technical training with diverse subjects, which is tailored for the food processing profession, using a participatory approach for the selected expert trainees to elevate their expertise.
  • Continuously support and mentorship of expert trainees during and after the training programs.
  • Regular assessment of the expert trainees to provide them with feedback, together with maintaining records of attendance and progress.
  • Developing questions to conduct pre and post assessment tests to measure progress of training.
  • Close collaboration with other incumbents of the project and main office to ensure smooth implementation of the project to meet its objectives, and their assessments.
  • Regularly reporting the work process per required formats and expectations of the office to TVET expert and project officer.
  • Attending to different official meetings and sessions per requirement of the program.
  • Participating in CARM, safeguarding and protection training sessions, and implementing expected roles and policies.
  • Maintaining records of in and out raw material under the supervision of project officers.
Job Requirements:

The food processing master trainer is supposed to be a skillful person who possesses superior qualifications, skills and experiences compared to their fellow counterparts in the market and is famous for being an expert in that occupation. The master trainer in this vocation must possess advanced skills in production and training of making various types of food products at a professional level. The master trainer should be familiar with techniques of teaching and the concept of skill upgrading. A list of skill requirements with necessary evidence included, but not limited to:

  • Over five years of professional experience in food processing fields 
  • Proven experience of training trainers + familiarity with different approaches of andragogy and pedagogy 
  • Over two years of experience in training technical apprentices, instructing other trainees in the field is an asset 
  • Familiarity with training cycle management phases
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and soft skills
